: : I am involved in the engine wear and friction project. I required to apply Chromium Oxide to Aluminium Silicon engine block by plasma Spray. It's this coating need any bond coat and what are the suitable bond coat? It's the Ni-Al is good enough? Thank U
: Hi Kelvin
: I know some spray chromium oxide onto aluminium substrates without bond coats with good results for there particular uses. But, to be on the safe side I would use a nickel/aluminium bond coat.
