Up to about 0.5 mm thick should be safe. Up to 1 mm may be possible
with care. The actual coating thickness limitation depends very
much on the T800 powder grade, spraying parameters, thermal history
of coating/substrate and geometry of substrate. Take care with some
product literature as I have come across some rather overly
generous thickness limitation claims which certainly can't be
applied in practice.
Coating failure on flat surfaces commonly show edge lifting, while
coatings on external diameters usually show cracking.
