Powder Coating for Surface Table
Hello guys, please i need your help and suggestion for my case

We have the surface table for the part industrial gas turbine engine, but get a problem how to prevent the oxidation and wear resistant of the surface table.

Could somebody help me.

For this application we (Thermico GmbH) can offer one of our new high temperature coatings. There are three gas-tight and anti-corrosion layers to choose from. All three layers are applied by means of atmospheric plasma spraying with the burner Axial III:

1. Coating Cr3C2-NiCr-Cr for maximum application temperature of 800°C (continuous use in air) and a hardness of approx. 1000 HV0.3. Layer is suitable as oxidation protection, corrosion and wear protection for all steels and nickel base alloys.

2. Coating Cr-Cr2O3 for a maximum operating temperature of 1000°C (continuous use in air by 900°C) and a hardness of approx. 600 HV0.3. Layer is suitable as oxidation protection and high temperature corrosion protection for nickel superalloys, titanium alloys (max. 700°C) and for titanium aluminide (max. 900°C).

3. Coating ChroSiMol for a maximum operating temperature of 900°C (continuous use in air) and a hardness of about 900 HV0.3. Layer is suitable as oxidation protection and corrosion protection (especially resistant to strong acids) for all titanium alloys and steels with a thermal expansion coefficient < 13x10-6K-1.

Our spesification isn't operate on the high temperature. just surface table for finishing check on the nozzle, stator, or vane segment.
So i need suggestion of wear resistant. Any idea for this case

Hello Achmad!

You can apply WC/Co/Cr, WOKA 3660 for example (68-72 HRC) or Cr3C2/NiCr, WOKA 7205 (61-66 HRC) using a HVOF method. These both materials have excellent wear resistance. But be careful - if the hardness of the surface table is less than 10 HRC, do not apply these coatings otherwise the coating can be crushed/forced through.

Another option is to apply NiCrBSi self-fluxing coating using the same HVOF spraying. This coating is more cheaper, however it has also good wear resistance.

Coating thickness - 200...300 microns for all three coating types.
